in short, in each sacrament whether baptism, eucharist, etc etc ... we seek to immitate important aspects of jesus' life (events or teachings) in order that through our own repetition we might be "touched/blessed by God"through the sacraments we are truly touched and blessed by God Himself ... it's not just a motion we go through but we are changed spiritually ... through the act of penance we seek conversion and humility..now when we commit sins they fall into those categories of venial, cardinal, mortal..but there are sins we commit that are not intended ... either out of ignorance ... and then there are those where we choose to sin..those that we don't intend can easily be taken up to God and forgiven.. ok well when we sin unintentionally - the venial sins - we can easily take those up to God and be forgiven but those out of choice ... to an extent we "take ourselves out of communion with God"..in effect ... though might be bad word choice..which is why we don't recieve communion when we commit mortal/cardinal sins..we must be "cleansed"..cause when we sin we have in some way rationalized to ourselves that we are more important to God.. we seek after useless pleasantries or temptations..that only please the moment.. or give us a feelings that exalts our ego..which is why once you commit that sin once..it's so easy to do it again..it begins the habit..if you want to undersatnd it biologically ..the feeling itself when you do something bad ... for the most part releases something good inside..if it tells your body that it feels alright ... it alright makes you prone to it..much of the way we act is out of feeling.. feeling can either be tainted with selfishness or kept pure..thats why when people say "follow your heart"..it becomes a bit misleading..cause where have our choices brought our heart to become.. for the most part we all strive to be good people..we have big dreams, good goals .. we think highly of ourselves.. to others we don't want them to kno our imperfections our weaknesses..cause they will not understand our true character..how can one person judge what you've done your whole life from one action..that or we feel that we become less ..i mean everyone knows that most people like to talk..like to exaggerate.. now why do you think that is so ..why can't people be totally trutful..why is it that when you want people to kno how much you slept last night we usually round less..it's that effect ... that idea you place in their head.. i mean if everyone was the way that we talked ourselves to be ... this world would be perfect..but it isn't..so when we confess we do many things..i mean first of all..the admission by words has always been strong with God and life in general ...it's easy to explain and notice that you can believe whatever you want... theorize and think whatever you please..but it all means nothing if it is kept inside..it means nothing to the next perosn ... it does nothing in advancing who you are (because you are either in fear of testing/challenging).. it is the experience that we take..the way life is is not distant from what God intends..life, though hard, will always favor the good ... it's just we will never challenge ourselves enough..so we settle..and go with the comfortable..what's the easiest way without doing the most damage..and that's why the world is the way it is ..WOW HAVE I STRAYED .... OK BACK TO ADMISSION
